Congratulations on your engagement! I hope you’re going to love wedding planning as much as I did. Honestly, I kind of miss it a little but that’s neither here nor there. It’s your time to shine as a new FIANCEÉ. I searched and searched and I couldn’t find a comprehensive list of the best wedding venues in Myrtle Beach. So, here I am, writing one. This is for all the engaged couples out there.
This one is a personal favorite for me. This is the one I actually chose for my wedding. As you can see, it photographs beautifully. They provide a wide range of locations to tie the knot at White Oaks. I highly recommended the large metal picture frame as a backdrop for your ceremony. ??
“At White Oaks, we excel in curating sophisticated weddings infused with style, evoking the timeless elegance reminiscent of Martha Stewart’s touch. Whether you planning a private event or a luxury destination wedding, our Myrtle Beach wedding venue offers the ideal backdrop for modern couples seeking sophistication and enduring charm. Nestled near the captivating shores of Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, our location adds an extra layer of coastal allure to your special day, creating unforgettable memories against a backdrop of scenic beauty.”
This place oozes class. They offer options such as passed hor d’Oeurves and plated dinners. They can accommodate smaller events and larger ones up to 250 seated guests. There is also a phenomenal spa within walking distance for all the pre-wedding pampering you crave. They also accept reservations, which is great for couple that choose to elope in the area and enjoy a nice, quiet dinner to themselves.
“Lovin’ Oven Caterer’s, Long Island’s & Manhattan’s premiere caterer, has built their reputation on superb cuisine, elegant locations and refined staff. Lovin’ Oven possesses the upmost professional staff that is dedicated to making sure that events are flawless. This, coupled with our elegant cuisine, makes for magnificent events that guests will not soon forget!”
The resort proudly has 3 ballrooms, 4 outdoor venues, beach and lawn venues, and the capacity of up to 2,000 guests. Yes, you read that right. It is the largest capacity venue I have ever seen. It’s stunning. If you want oceanfront views without the oceanfront wind, their 16th floor ballroom is definitely the way to go.
“For decades, Kingston Resort has been a place where people have met and fallen in love, where couples have escaped to Myrtle Beach for a romantic getaway. Celebrate love and say “I do” at our timeless destination in South Carolina. It’s your special day, and your vision. Whether that’s a glamorous ballroom wedding or an intimate beachside ceremony, we can make your dreams come to life.”
This is a location that I absolutely love, mostly because on the on-site spa. This four star resort has earned every single star. There are poolside and ballroom venues available. They have been awarded the AAA 4 Diamond and the Trip Advisor Award of Excellence. There is a reason they made it on my “Best Wedding Venues in Myrtle Beach” list.
“Presenting the ideal destination for an upscale wedding in Myrtle Beach, our beautifully-renovated hotel offers oceanfront venues and a professional event planning team to help you plan an unforgettable event. Allow us to set the stage for your picture-perfect dream wedding.”
With 4 different event spaces and 184 guest rooms and suites, it’s hard to wrong with this choice. They offer event management, catering, and even event rentals. It’s almost a one stop shop. They also have an extensive FAQ list that provides a lot of helpful information. They have a golf course and a spa so there is definitely something for everybody.
“It’s the day you’ve been dreaming of. The AAA four diamond Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is the perfect backdrop for your memorable destination wedding story. Experience unique Tuscan inspired indoor/outdoor event space beginning with the outdoor Grande Lawn for your special wedding ceremony. Then flow into the magnificent Nautilus Ballroom for a memorable wedding reception. Also enjoy luxurious guest room accommodations, outstanding service, amenities and activities. From large weddings of up to 350-400 to small, intimate weddings of less than 100, the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes offers the perfect space for your special day.”
Have you dreamt of getting married in a castle since you were a little girl? Here is your golden opportunity. This place is a wedding venue of my dreams but my dreams were frozen because we were getting married in February. They don’t have to be just dreams for you, though. Historic landmarks are always great options because they are steeped in stories and experiences.
“Atalaya Castle has been celebrated as one of South Carolinas most picturesque wedding venues for more than three decades. This unique Moorish style castle is nestle in beautiful Huntington Beach State Park. making this national historic landmark a premier destination for wedding and events.”
Ok, so this one may be cheating a little; it’s in Pawleys Island. Close enough, right? This private club is a beautiful backdrop for your wedding day. With three locations on site to choose, it’s all about which one will best fit your needs. The golf course is inspired by Greg Norman. A group outing is a great way for the whole wedding party to spend quality time together leading up to the big day.
“The Reserve membership welcomes outside parties to enjoy its elegant and inviting event spaces. If you’ve curtailed the guest list, consider our traditional yet inviting Reserve Grille that never feels empty. Guests first enjoy refreshments from our fully stocked, solid mahogany bar before mingling toward the attached patio for sweeping views of the tranquil golf course. Our event team will help tailor the menu, décor and room layout to reflect your personal tastes. We don’t believe in package deals, but instead work with your budget to craft a unique and memorable event.”
I have another on in Pawleys Island for you. It’s on of the best wedding venues due to the century-old oak trees and landscaping is spectacular. They have an in-house coordinator so things will go as smoothly as possible throughout the planning process. They offer multiple location on property as setting for your wedding day.
“Caledonia Golf & Fish Club offers venue settings for Weddings and Special Events. Caledonia, carved among century’s old Live Oak Trees draped with Spanish moss, this setting was built on the remnants of an old rice plantation. Impeccably maintained, and renowned for both the quality of design and natural beauty, you are speaking of a Special Place! From the Club House overlooking the 18th hole, to the Fish Shed, full of lore and stories of Caledonia lingering in the air. Your experience will surely be enhanced by all the beauty of Our Special Place.”
Established in 1777, this magnificent location is one of the oldest beach communities on the east coast. The private community is also home to a lush golf course where the groomsmen, and ladies, can play the day away. If golf isn’t your thing, spend the day lounging around the beach instead. Live Oak Lane is a very popular choice for reception sites and its obvious as to why.
“Whether you choose to the elegance of the Clubhouse or the more relaxed venue of the Pavilion at the beach, Debordieu Club’s team of highly skilled professionals will ensure your event will be remarkable.”
Bay Watch offers once of a lifetime beach ceremonies. They also have a 6,500 square foot reception area. That’s enough room for all your friends, family, and people you were obligated to invite. They provide the ease of using in-house catering and group room rates for those from out of town.
“Fulfill your dreams of a beautiful wedding ceremony on the sandy beaches of North Myrtle Beach. Bay Watch Resort offers the ability to get married directly on the beach with customizable seating and alter arrangements.”
This list is going to make it easier to choose from best wedding venues in Myrtle Beach. I wish this had been available to me when I was still planning.
